Buying a car from auction, what should you know ?

By Aqeel Qureshi

Buying at auction can sometimes make deals. But still you must choose a reliable car. So for your car purchase does not turn into a fiasco, it's better to know some basic rules to find the car of your dreams.
In auctions, there is the worst as the best. It is therefore important to perform some basic checks before proceeding to the actual purchase.

Why all these precautions? Vehicles sold at auction are made without any intervention. In addition, auctioneers that drive these sales do not engage their responsibility on the quality of cars and cars are generally not guaranteed. To you make the right choice by being very careful.

Essential step of the auction, the choice of the car: The car show is usually the day before the auction. Do not overlook this visit organized in public by the organizers. It allows you to see vehicles and especially to see the condition of the car (body, internal mechanics of the car ... for more details read the article on buying a used car)

It is best not to dwell on a single model, preselect several models that interest you by checking the list of vehicles available on the website of the sales room or place. This first selection makes it possible not to disperse and keep in mind the models that you agree on hundreds of models.

The legal information of cars: The auction houses provide a range of information, usually displayed on the vehicle. Besides a detailed record of identifying the car (car type, year of initiation, power, fuel, VAT recoverable ...), there is a description of equipment, the display control technology ... posted on the front windscreen. Can also be provided information about the mechanical condition of the car, its mileage, its backlog of maintenance ... Watch all these information with great attention to get a first idea of the condition of the vehicle and therefore costs more to provide.

When a car has caught your attention, it is important to ask if possible that you open the hood and doors. Employees are present on site for that. Check level of brake fluid (low can be a worn brake pads or flight risk), a gray color on the oil cap or dipstick is often synonymous with problem head gasket, check number number inscribed on the body if it is the same as that of the gray card.
Ask what starts the car with the noise of the car, you already have an idea about the engine condition. Go also screened the bodywork, bumpers, tires, controls, safe ... Dehousse seats, lift the carpet ...

Consider the self in all its glory as buying a car is an important document which requires a meticulous examination. Normally with these tips on auctions, you should raise your hand the day of sale with a light heart and a good business succeed.
